About me

Hi, my name is Mike Munoz and I am a 20 year old Junior at the University of Colorado Boulder. During quarantine I had gotten incredibly bored as al of as have, and I decided to create a clothing company and pursue my biggest passions in life; fashion and art. My following has grown way more than I could've ever imagined and I have collaborated with some of the worlds biggest celebrities. I would attribute a lot of the success I have had to how I approach art in general. I tend to be very rebellious in the sense that I challenge a lot of norms that are put into place by society and the generations prior. I like to completely reshape peoples ideas of certain imagery; my main one (and most popular ones) being skeletons. I started getting into digital art when I was 10 years old because my dad had it on his computer. I started off by just using the basic little stamp tool to put paw prints and what not onto a blank page. As I got older, I became very curious as to what I was able to do with this software, and just self-taught myself through the internet to be able to accomplish all the things that I had in mind. I’ve made a lot of art that varies in different ways; abstract, conventional, collage work, website building, character developments, fashion design, etc. My art is really influenced by Basquiat, Takashi Murakami, and other unconventional artists. I’m also very inspired by very early mid century artwork, they allow me to reconnect with the human race centuries before technology was ever created; I love looking at life through different lenses of time, location and culture. I’m passionate to inspire people to realize that they don’t need to be put in a box like society tends to do. They do not need to be judged by anyone because other people's ideology is a byproduct of one idea that was spread to the masses because it was easily acceptable. I want people to realize they can do and be whoever they want to be in this life, and no longer feel so different and weird like I once felt myself.
